Jamie’s storyline was everything I’d hoped for. Alison is delightfully daffy, managing to embarrass Jamie regularly. We may have only had a couple of moments between Jamie and Eddie, but they were fun and sweet.
Frank’s story was interesting, really kept you guessing which way it would it go. Having rewatched season 10’s The Price You Pay to remind myself of how McKenzie became an ex-detective, he really had blamed Frank personally for the situation he was in, so the possibility was there that it was all a set up. Loved the discussion about Abigail’s birthday present – like she wouldn’t know what they were up to!
Danny’s story was insightful, another episode for reflecting on who he is and how he behaves. He’s not the same person he was in the early seasons, but it’s possible to miss that until someone points it out.
Another great family dinner scene with everyone having fun (although Frank looked a little disappointed that the judgement went against him)
My full thoughts will be posted on Monday so please check back then.
