I discovered the show Blue Bloods in 2017, it’s a show about a family in New York City who all work in various parts of the Law Enforcement sector. PickTV were screening season 2 and Jamie rapidly became my favourite character. I then found the show on Sky Atlantic and saw that Jamie’s partnership with Eddie, in all of its forms, is one of the highlights of the show. With the start of season 9, the changes to the show have provided many more opportunities to consider how these characters interact and are affected by events. I don’t consider anyone perfect, no character who interests me will always be right as those with flaws are the most human. I may not agree with what a character does but I won’t immediately dismiss them, rather I’ll attempt to interpret their motivations.

Having found myself posting ever longer comments on YouTube videos I decided that perhaps I needed to find a different format to share my thoughts before I found out what the maximum character limit was on YouTube comments.

Rather than just presenting visitors with a wall of text I will try to break it up occasionally with an image. Original images from the show belong to CBS and are used here under the Fair Use Act.
